Biberwier – Action & total immersion in the Zugspitz Arena

The mountain backdrop is like a fairy-tale, the holiday facilities are just fantastic. Turquoise-coloured mountain lakes and bathing lakes in the middle of an idyllic landscape. Luscious green upland meadows, and above these the most stunning rock walls. Two lifts and the longest summer bob run in Tyrol. Challenges for hikers and mountain bikers. The name Biberwier has not come about by chance: ‘biber’ is the German word for beaver, which are still today founding romping about in the mountain streams.

Biberwier in SUMMER

The longest summer bob run in Tyrol (nearly a mile long) provides an exciting opportunity to take part in downhill races in radiant sunshine. The Biberwier resort also offers its fill of fun and action: see how you fare trying out the summer tubing run, the bungee trampoline, the climbing wall and the giant bouncy castle!

But given all this action, Biberwier also has its very tranquil, meditative side – especially when its relaxation and quiet you’re looking for at the three unique mountain and bathing lakes. Nature lovers and those with more sporting ambitions come into step at well signposted hiking trails, mountain bike routes and mountain paths with stunning views. Tennis courts and a riding stable all invite you to take advantage of the village’s outdoor sports facilities. The Biberwier village festivals provide for entertainment and enjoyable hours with culinary and cultural delicacies from Tyrol

Biberwier in WINTER

For Alpine skiers and families is Biberwier very nice.

Snowboarders gather at the Marienberg halfpipe. Even the little ones can make giants steps forward on family-friendly slopes. And at the end of the day? Take in the ‘Biberschirm’ for good times and aprés ski.

Biberwier is truly in the hands of cross-country freaks. This is the ideal entry to over 110km of loipe around Tyrol’s Zugspite – even the atmospheric Weißenseeloipe is only a skating glide away.

Enjoy the romance of extensive ride outs through the snow-covered landscape.

A brief overview of your winter fun:

  • six lift systems and a complementary ski bus
  • over 110 km of prepared loipe around the Zugspitz and the Weißensee – with snow guaranteed
  • extensive ride outs through the winter landscape
