| Lermoos – for ideal holidays in the Zugspitz Arena |
We’ve got it – your dream holiday! The mighty summits of the Zugspitze and Grubigstein look down on this romantic Tyrolean mountain village. Hikers and skiers, nature lovers and adventurers are all drawn uphill. Mountain air, sporting challenges and family-friendly holiday activities make Lermoos just an ideal holiday resort. LERMOOS IN WINTER The skiing and boarding communities are lured high to two thousand metres. With the new ‘GamsJet’ and the new "Hochmoos-Express" you are nearly as fast up to the Grubigstein as you are back down in the valley. Ten lifts serving 33 kilometres of perfectly prepared slopes – with the guarantee of snow – are enough to get the beginner as well as the experience skiers up and going. Not least because the newly-opened Ski and Snowboard Centre at the valley station gives you the chance to try out the latest models. And with the help of Penguin BOBO in the kids’ ski school, even the smallest guests will be up on their skis in no time. Homely mountain huts entice you with the range of refreshments and you are not likely to resist après ski at one of the many inns. As a family-friendly and relaxing alternative to Super-G and slalom we can recommend 30 kilometres of cleared hiking trails, a smooth sledge run or a couple of laps of the ice rink with its stunning panoramic view. Nordic fans can join over 110 kilometres of a loipe network around the Zugspitz Arena.

LERMOOS IN SUMMER A landscape such as that around Lermoos is a dream for those looking for a natural experience: varied, unspoilt, fresh. Along stunning footpaths, trails and on scrambling routes you’ll see walkers and hikers take to the mountain air like climbers. Qualified hiking guides accompany you as you reach for the top. And if you want to take a short cut, the Grubigstein lift also operates in summer. If the grown-ups are looking for big challenges, the children don’t come empty handed: in the kids’ club Bergsport Total, they can learn to take the first climbing steps. And if the saddle is your thing – whether mountain biking or horseback riding – forests and upland meadows are just waiting to be explored. The new 9-hole course between Lermoos and Ehrwald is like a hole in one. Highly modern while retaining the utmost of nature’s beauty it lies within constant view of the imposing backdrop of the Wetterstein massif and has an option of being extending to 18 holes in the coming years. For hobby archaeologists, taking part in guides and excavations on the Via Claudia is an unforgettable adventure. And if diving is your thing, or if you want to try out diving, courses at the Mohr Life Resort open the door to the underwater world. Your summer pleasure at a glance:
