Zugspitz Arena Run 2009 - 11th July 2009

The Zugspitz Arena Run 2008 was a major success and preparations are underway for 2009.

Numerous participants in a variety of age groups completed the 15.8 km route from Heiterwang to Ehrwald.

    •  Finish line closes: 6.30 p.m.
    •  Distance: 15.8 kilometres
     •  Height gained: 186 metres
    •  Height lost: 192 metres
    •  Start Heiterwang: 1001 metres (above sea level)
    •  Finish Ehrwald: 995 metres (above sea level)
    •  Highest point: 1134 metres (at 8.2 km)
    •  Lowest point: 963 metres (at 14.8 km)
    •  Asphalt:  11.4 kilometres -->72% 
    •  Gravel:  4.4 kilometres --> 28%
    •  Maximum uphill gradient: 10% 
    •  Maximum downhill gradient: 16%
