The Bichlbach Lake, opened only in early summer 2006, has already established itself as the most popular open-air swimming venue in the area.

This is hardly surprising. The lake is idyllically situated in a 11/2 acre (6,000 sq.m.) meadow just below Bichlbach‘s historic Guild Church and, to the delight of “water-babies“ young and old, offers a total swimming area of 15,000 sq. ft. (1,400 sq.m.). The depth of the water in the main swimming area ranges from 51/2 ft. to just under 10 ft. (1.70 m.- 2.80 m.) and children can paddle in their own separate area, where the water is 15 inches to just over 30 inches deep (40 - 60 cm.).
In an adjacent pool the lake water is biologically filtered and purified in an ecological and environmentally friendly way by several thousand aquatic plants. Ingenious, state-of-the-art technology enables the water to be heated in a very short space of time and ensures pleasant temperatures for swimming.

After your exertions in the water you can relax on the lake terrace, where delicious meals or snacks are also available.
But the lake is just a part of the whole Bichlbach Sports & Leisure Park, which encompasses a minigolf course, 3 tennis courts, a small field for football and volleyball and of course a childrens playground. Thus visitors of all ages are catered for.

The Sports & Leisure Park is situated right in the centre of Bichlbach, just where the road turns off to Berwang.
Opening times: in fine weather from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.
