| Lermoos-Grubigstein: Fun on the slopes for the more discerning |
| Opposite the Zugspitze is the Lermoos-Grubigstein ski area. It is particularly attractive because of its more demanding slopes – a hit with more experienced skiers and those who looking for some extra speed. The terrain on the Grubigstein is rich in variety – a great pleasure for skiers and gliders. The ski area comprises 30 well prepared slopes served by 4 tow lifts, 5 chair lifts and a cable car. For youngster there are two practise lifts. And the ski area is growing: two new slopes – the ‘Sportabfahrt’ and the Hüttenrinner’ – broaden the horizons of well-trained carvers in good condition. Even boarders come into their own: a new snowboard piste and a super freedride area have been built especially for them. At the Gamsbödele there is another 700-metre long natural pipe.
A six-seater cabin lift takes you uphill from the centre of the village. And if you’re lucky, the descent will take you back down to your front door. This is ideal if you want to hit the aprés ski after a dream day on the slopes or on a sun-bathed terrace. Lermoos is famous as the meeting point in the Zugspitz Arena for partygoers.
