| Tyrol Zugspitzbahn: Fun on the slopes with the guarantee of snow |
| Skiers and boarders come pretty high up to get to the Zugspitzplatt, to glacial ski area on the Zugspitze. In no time at all they reach the summit at 2,962 metres – quietly suspended in the air in the cable car. A veritable experience, the Zugspitze lies high above the tree line in permanent ice. The quickest route up to the summit of Germany’s highest mountain is, however, from Tyrol – from Ehrwald to be more precise.
Both carvers and boarders are in their element. Once you have reached the top, it’s time to go back down! The Zugspitzplatt is situated in a dip where there’s guaranteed snow all the year round (the season could last 365 days!). And so, a chair lift, 8 tow lifts and many ‘red’ and ‘blue’ slopes entice skiers to come and enjoy themselves on the slopes where there is always fresh powder right until spring. The Zugspitze is also firmly in the hands of snowboarders: "Terrain Park Zugspitze can all snowboard freaks and ski freestylers as steam - the meeting place for all freestylers at Germany's highest mountain.
