And it’s no wonder that this event in celebration of the summer solstice is one of the most popular happenings of the year.

Glowing hearts, blazing deer, or flaming crosses: In the mountains surrounding the Wetterstein range, astonishing traditional and modern fire motives are created and set aflame.

Did you know? In 2010, the mountain fires in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena were declared intangible world cultural heritage by the UNESCO.
