Orchid hike

Under the guidance of Mag. Erhard Maroschek you will explore the local species of orchid. Participation is free for guest card holders.

Here in Lermoos we have some 40 different types of orchid. They start to blossom at the end of April / start of May and it is possible to observe orchids on hikes until October, depending on weather conditions. Orchids often interbreed in the wild, resulting in so-called crossbreds that are difficult to identify.
