Ehrwald Indoor Climbing Hall

The weather isn’t really as cracking as you’d hoped? No worries! The Ehrwald Indoor Climbing Hall makes climbers’ hearts beat faster – even on rainy days. On a total of 1,267 square metres, climbing aficionados can definitely live it up in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena – whether they’re experienced pros in this sport or whether they’ve just discovered their passion for it. 

Thanks to the various state-of-the-art climbing devices, everyone can work on improving their technique. At the climbing shop, equipment can be bought or ordered. And the climbing gym also offers trial lessons held by professionals. Whether you’d like to dabble in climbing or perfect your skills, you’ll have various opportunities to do so at the EhrWALLd climbing gym on the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze. 

During opening hours, the “Wall” restaurants serves its guests refreshments and snacks to refuel after their climbing adventures in the vertical plane. There’s space for 60 climbers visiting the restaurant at the same. 

Good to know: Climbing competitions can be held at the climbing hall in Ehrwald as well.

Important information

… for your visit to the climbing hall

The proof is in the pudding – and the same holds true when it comes to climbing. However, before you get to prove yourself on the vertical walls, you should familiarise yourself with the safety rules of the climbing hall. During your first visit, you will also have to fill out a registration and consent form

By the way: Usually, the climbing gym is open Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 22:00 as well as Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 14:00 to 21:00. Upon request, groups of ten people or more can also visit the climbing gym outside of regular opening hours. To make a reservation, please call +43 (0) 660 8369959!

The Tyrolean sports climbing instructors offer various climbing lessons. Courses for children and youths are usually held between 17:30 and 19:00 – and those for adults between 19:00 and 20:30.
