Mountain Safety

Safety comes always first - especially in the alpine environment. That's why we put together a couple tips for our guests.

Behaviour rules in emergency situations

  • Stay calm!
  • Call for help: cell phone, shout, whistle etc.
  • Take care of the injured person, make sure the area is safe!
  • Never leave the injured person!
  • In case of a storm: avoid exposed and dangerous places (summits, ridges, fixed rope routes etc.) - find shelter!

Emergency Call

☎ 140: Mountain rescue
☎ 112: European emergency call (works with every cell phone & in all networks)

Emergency calls are not possible without network coverage. Find a better location and regularly try to dial 112 (or use the SOS emergency call function on your cell phone).

The Emergency call app of the Tyrol Mountain Rescue helps when sending an emergency call and simultaneously reports your own location! Free download on iTunes store or Google Play Store: “Notfall App Bergrettung Tirol”
